20242023 was a landmark year for Hair and Makeup equity. With the advanced legislation within NY & NJ including mandatory training in texture hair for all cosmetologists in NY and inclusive policies such as SAG-AFTRA’s collective bargaining agreement that includes measures to ensure talent’s diverse beauty needs are formally recognized and met in production setting gave us reason to celebrate and reflect on how we will champion beauty equity moving forward.
